  • ALUMNI INFORMATION:  Mrs. Globe has an active alumni who participate in our year round events. Our Alumni Leaders are Nipal Belemonde and Angie Yates. Though they head the Alumni, all ideas and questions about the pageant and your WIN / Mrs. Globe events are to be submitted FIRST to the national office and then if approved, it will be directed to Angie and Nipal if it is an approved event. There are certain criteria for events to be considered "Alumni" events.
    • All alumni events must be submitted for approval via the website and first submitted to the national office. No verbal requests are considered 'submitted'.

    • All Alumni events must be approved by the national office. Please do not approach our Alumni Leaders for approval. They will defer you to the national office and operate under the guidelines and set approvals of the national office. If the head of Alumni says, "That sounds like a nice idea", this does not mean it is approved. If your event is submitted and approved, you will receive a written confirmation.
    • All Alumni events are approved on a quarterly basis by the national office only. Now accepting Alumni activity for: April, May and June, 2007.

    • Once an Alumni Event is approved, it will be put on the national calendar of events, then posted in the 3 month calendar and detailed under "upcoming Alumni Events".

    • Only the national office or the Head of the Alumni can distribute information about the events.
    • In order for an event to be considered an Alumni event, one of the Alumni leaders, a WIN Board member and either Mrs. U.S. or Mrs. Globe must be confirmed to attend.

    • No events can conflict with national sponsors and must tie into the national direction of the company. 

  • AIRPORT / ARRIVAL INFORMATION:  Arrive into Palm Springs International Airport.  You will need to take a 10 minute taxi to the hotel.  The cost is around $20 (USD). A Globe staff member will be at the Registration Desk waiting for you. Please make sure you log your on line form so we can be prepared for your arrival.

  • AD PAGE INFORMATION:  Each delegate will be provided a personal state page with your fee.  If you would like to have an additional ad page, please reserve your space on line (there is a form for this). The additional pages are $300 each.  Once you reserve a page, we will forward you the design and payment information.

  • APPEARANCES: The title belongs to the WIN Foundation therefore all appearances must be approved.
    • To book your appearances: Go on line to the Appearance Request Forms under "Contestant Services.
    • Photo submission: submit photos to tracyk@mrsglobe.com. We will post a monthly appearance collection once a month on the forum. Please submit them to us directly, as we submit these also for Globe Awards. You can load directly onto the forum If you know how. See Forum Guidelines for details.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY: Miss U.S. Globe is a fund-raiser for the WIN Foundation.   Therefore, no refunds are given.   This includes if you cannot participate due to marriage problems, pregnancy,  illnesses, etc. Please see your Rules and Regulation contract (item 7-D) for details.

  • CONTESTANT FORMS: Forms to be submitted to the national office no later than August 1, 2007.

  • CROWN AND BANNER:
    • Your competition banner is shipped with your first installment of $500. 
    • Your crown is shipped once $1200 is received. 
    • If you have problems with your crown and banner, please contact the manufacturers directly and cc the national office on your communication.
      • Crown: Company name is Tiara Enterprises.  Contact name:  Andrea Porcora at phone number  888.6CROWNS.  Email: tiaraent@aol.com This will come to you within 2 weeks of crowning.
      • Banner Maker: Personal Touch, contact name: Debra at phone number 405.348.3511.  Email:ptmongrams@juno.com. This takes 4 weeks to manufacturer.


  • EMAIL LOGO: Each contestant is to receive an official and personalized email logo upon registration. Please use this whenever communicating via email on behalf of the Mrs. Globe organization or WIN.

  • FORUM: Our forum is the Official Form for Mrs. Globe. Sponsors, supporters, on-lookers, contestants, alumni and strangers are viewing us on a daily basis. Please understand, this is not a personal blog and all posts must be Mrs. Globe or WIN related. In addition, we will not allow for no-name cyber bullies to post. You can post your personal opinion, as long as it is done with your name and respect. Any posts that are not Globe or WIN related will be pulled at the discretion of the Board of Directors of staff.
  • FUNDRAISING: Posted April 1 As this event is a fundraiser for the WIN Foundation, there are various ways to raise funds and specific ways the funds can be allocated.
    • For the general donations of funds, these sponsors will be listed on your ad page.For the allocation of funds, please the pyramid outlined in your Princess Party handbook.

  • GIFTS (Note:  All gift exchanges are optional, but encouraged)
    • Miss U.S. Globe gift: If you like, you can bring a state gift to Mrs. US Globe (a tradition). 
  • GLOBE AWARDS : The Globe Awards are the “Academy Awards” for the Mrs. Globe pageant.  It is exclusive to our prestigious organization. The Globe Awards is an opportunity to recognize the many outstanding delegates within the Miss U.S. Globe Organization. This is not a competition.  This is an authentic awards presentation.  The 2007 Globe Awards are a way to celebrate the achievements of those we support; and to salute the many outstanding people who make the Mrs. Globe Organization great.   The Globe Awards will be an evening of glamour, excitement and celebration of achievement.  It is a night where more than one will share in the glory, the honor and the beauty of pageantry.  Finalist will be announced at the international cultural night. Winners will be announced at the Globe Awards.
    • Submissions: Appearance forms are used as submissions for your Globe Awards. In addition, you will be required to fill out on line forms in the forms application section.

  • HOTEL: The hotel is The Westin Mission Hills Resort, You will need a credit card at check-in. The pageant is providing a hotel room with a roommate, as well as all listed meals.

      OTHER INFORMATION

    • If you want to stay with a non-pageant attendee during the event, you may. You will be required to pay for your own room individually.  These rooms do not include breakfast.  No discounts will be applied.  You must submit your roommate registration by August 1, 2007.   
    • Rooms for family and friends can be booked by calling 760.328.5955, ask for on site reservations. There are only a limited number of rooms under our block at this special rate, so please book early.
    • You must have a credit card when checking into the hotel.

  • INCIDENTAL EXPENSES: Please bring around $200 to cover your incidental expenses for your stay. Our event is not responsible for incidental expenses incurred by the delegates such as long distance phone calls, valet service, room service, no host bar charges, laundry service, etc.  These must be paid for by each delegate.  Your in room phone can only be turned on with a credit card hold or a cash deposit.  There are pay phones in the lobby.  We recommend using your personal cell phone.


  •  INTERNATIONAL GIFT / CROWN EXCHANGE: At the Mrs. Globe and Ms. / Miss U.S. Globe, we have an evening called "International Cultural Night" were the U.S. delegates and the Globe delegates exchange a commemorative gift. We encourage all U.S. delegates to participate in the international gift exchange. Our gift to the international delegates is a keepsake crown. The cost is only $35. This will be brought to you at the pageant. In exchange, an international delegate will also be bringing you a gift from their country to present to you.

  • PAYMENT SCHEDULE: The current payment installments are as follows:
    • $ 500 deposit
    • $ 500 on 4/1
    • $ 500 on 6/1.

  • PRINCESS PARTY: (Added February 15) “The Princess Party campaign is a national fundraiser taking place in cities across our country. The goal of the WIN Foundation was to create a unique and fun event within your community that will assist you in raising funds for your participation at Miss U.S. Globe as well as create a forum to share an important message: ‘There is a right way and wrong way to treat one another.’ Abuse is not a disease, but rather a learned behavior, so with education, we can end the cycle of abuse. The forum and party theme of ‘royalty’ is our way of sending that important message, because every person deserves to wear a crown of dignity, safety and respect.”

RAISE YOUR STANDARDS: (Updated on February 15) Raise Your Standards is our national program geared toward college age women. Raise is a mandatory requirement to fulfill as a state titleholder. In January 2007, Coors Brewery gave a grant to the WIN Foundation specifically for the 2007 delegates. Each delegate who organizes and runs a Raise your Standards event will receive a $500 scholarship toward the last payment of their entry fee. This fee is not credited until the Raise event is complete. All entry fee deadlines must therefore be kept current. The grant is only available to Raise events scheduled after January 1, 2007 until August 1, 2007. Listed below are the

    • Contestant Procedure Manual: This is your manual that outlines how to run a Raise Event.
    • Information Package for Sororities:This is a presentation package for sorority leaders who are interested in Raise.
    • Information Package for Sponsors: This is a sponsorship package for sponsors interested in Raise.
    • Speech This is your speech for your Raise Event.
    • NOTE: Once you book your Raise Your Standards event, you will receive a Raise Package via Priority Mail that includes:
      • 6 Raise Your Standards Shirts
      • Raise music
      • Raise promotional handouts
      • Raise speech and presentation cards.
      • Hard copies of the Contestant manuel.


  • RIGHT LIVING CLASSES & WIN TRAINING: During your time at Mrs. U.S. Globe, you will be taken through a condensed version of the Right Living Program, the Raise Program and any other programs we will be offering in our 2008 season.

  • SILENT AUCTION : Every year at Mrs. Globe event we host a silent auction.  If you would like to participate, the values must start at $50 - $100.    Our theme this year is "Treasures" so think creatively! We appreciate your support.

  • TICKETS: See The Global Boutique Store. Tickets will go on sale one month prior to our event

  • TRAINING WEEK-END:TRAINING WEEK-ENDPosted April 1: For details on our training week-end, please seen below. Training Dates are May 31 - June 3, 2007 in Las Vegas.

May 31 - June 3, 2007, Las Vegas: Once a year, Mrs. Globe offers an extensive Training Program. This training conference will teach you what you need to know in order to succeed in pageants. This event is four days, three nights and will include an Alumni Event. The location is Las Vegas. The fee is $750 and does not include the hotel. Special rates for the hotel will be offered to our group.

o       Thursday, May 31st  

      • Evening: NO HOST Cocktail Welcome Reception (not included in your training fee).
       

o       Friday, June 1st:  (everything below is included in your fee)

      • Blow dry & style of hair
      • Professional make up application & tips
      • Photo shoot. You will receive  5 to 10 UNTOUCHED photos on a CD to keep. (Stay tuned for wardrobe requests for your photo shoot )
      • Plated lunch
      • Body blocking & stage presence training for the runway, with Mrs. Globe (MADA) and Mrs. North America 2005 (Laura Slifer) Please bring gown/wardrobe selections for us to critique if you wish. 
      • (1) ticket to the “Mrs. U.S. Princess Party”! If you are only coming to the Princess Party – the ticket is $100 .

    • WIN PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL: This will be mailed to you. If you do not get it within 10 days of your acceptance, please contact us.
    • VIRTUAL VOTING: The winner of Virtual Voting in both the US and Globe Pageant receives the following:

       1)                An automatic slot into the finals. If the winner is not voted into the finals by the judges, then there will be 6 finalists. If the Virtual Voting winner is voted in by the judges then there will only be 5 finalists.

      2)                The winner will be crowned Mrs. North America and will be invited to compete at the next Mrs. Globe as Mrs. North America (all expense paid)

      3)                The winner will be invited to attend Christmas for Kids in 2008 (must raise at least $15,000)

      4)                The winner will be able to bring a Right Living weekend seminar into her area. (must raise at least $10,000)
